Holding a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from a leading university in South India, Venkatesh is a highly skilled Control and Instrumentation Engineer with over 15 years of experience. He has extensive expertise in DeltaV DCS (Distributed Control System) and has managed the entire lifecycle of Emerson Process Management systems, including configuration, commissioning, operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and stabilization across multiple industries such as Refinery, FPSO, Offshore Platforms, Mining, and Petrochemical sectors in India and abroad.
Venkatesh’s experience spans several large-scale Onshore, Offshore, and FPSO oil and gas production/processing plants. He has held roles ranging from Engineer to Manager, overseeing key activities such as Construction, FAT & SAT (Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing), Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, and Startup of a variety of automation systems including Distributed Control Systems (DCS), ESD (Emergency Shutdown Systems), SCADA Systems, and advanced instrumentation technologies.
He is particularly skilled in managing Total Shutdowns and Breakdowns in Oil Gathering Stations, Offshore Platforms, and LNG Upstream Facilities, and has extensive experience in Preventive Maintenance, Fault Finding, and Corrective Maintenance of Process Instrumentation and Fire & Gas Detection Systems.
Venkatesh is an expert in DeltaV SIS (Safety Instrumented Systems) and is highly proficient in the configuration, graphic development, and commissioning of both DeltaV DCS and Ovation DCS systems, for both Onshore and Offshore projects. He also has significant expertise in the design and implementation of FOUNDATION FIELDBUS, PROFIBUS, OPC, and MODBUS communication protocols. His experience in migrating legacy control systems to the latest technologies has benefited enterprises across the Middle East, Europe, North America, and Africa.
A natural communicator, Venkatesh excels in building relationships and collaborating with multinational clients. As an entrepreneur, he founded Excel Automation Solutions in 2014, establishing a state-of-the-art facility for industrial automation training and certification. Since then, the company has trained thousands of professionals in India and overseas, while also delivering a wide range of automation services and projects.
